Views: Isn't it funny?

Isn't it funny that all the mainstream press has decided that Palin is a drag on the ticket?

The Miami Herald, in an article, states that "Sarah Palin has become a drag on the Republican presidential ticket, the first time in recent political history that a running mate has made such a difference." My how the press loves to hate Palin.

It's interesting that they don't mention the poll so you can research it yourself. It was the ABC/Washington Post Election Tracking Poll #5. Ever wondered if polls are slanted by the organizations sponsoring them? Certainly these two organizations pulling hard for Obama/Biden wouldn't do that.

After all, they asked an expert. "The Palin choice reflects poorly on Senator McCain's judgment," said vice presidential expert Joel Goldstein, a professor of law at St. Louis University. Of course, it doesn't mention that Joel Goldstein is an Obama supporter and has donated to the Obama/Biden campaign. And that's not his first contribution. In 2004 he contributed to Fiengold (D), Kerry (D), Farmer (D).

With what they call a "dramatic rise in her unpolularity" one has to wonder why her campaign events draw huge crowds. Of course, these people are dismissed as the "hard core base". They are also characterized as "angry."

Then of course, there is her appearance on Saturday Night Live. Record audience. Why? Because everyone hates her? You decide.

Will Palin become vice-president? Will she go home to Alaska where she is hugely popular to rise again as a star of the national Republican party? Time will tell.

Quotes

And though both Senator Obama and Senator Biden have been going on lately about how they are always, quote, “fighting for you,” let us face the matter squarely. There is only one man in this election who has ever really fought for you … in places where winning means survival and defeat means death … and that man is John McCain.
-- Sarah Palin (RNC Speech, Sept 3, 2008)
